River of Life Christian Church and Waters of Life Outreach Ministry

12-Step Free Indeed Ministry

If therefore the Son shall make you Free, you shall be Free Indeed – John 8:31-32, 36.

Free-Indeed is a Christ Centered, Biblically Founded alternative to standard 12 Step programs or groups. We do proclaim Jesus Christ alone as our Higher Power. It’s a Discipleship and Mentoring ministry.

The objective of Free Indeed is to provide a friendly, informal setting where addictions can be identified and addressed with the help of God and the 12-Step format. We do this by providing the most conductive environment possible for the healing of the person with life controlling issues. Free Indeed’s purpose is to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritual alive.            (Confidentiality is strictly upheld!)

12-Step Free Indeed

Meets every Monday night at 7:00 P.M. at 999 Selby Avenue, “Arnold P. Williams Community Center”.

Women’s Fellowship

Women’s Fellowship is a progressive, growing, thriving ministry open to whomsoever wants to come – the younger and older ladies. Each month there’s teaching and training to help develop the spiritual growth and social skills of our attendees. We’ve seen phenomenal growth continually and anticipate more.

We also have fun, fellowship and food – natural and spiritual. The word of God shared is specifically for such a time as this. The word is bought forth to inspire, encourage, and uplift the body of Christ. This ministry helps women express their desires and develop their talents and gifts, with other women available and assisting them.

We meet every 1st Saturday, at 999 Selby Avenue, St. Paul at 11:00 A.M.

Please call if interested, 651-290-2348.

Men’s Breakfast

Men’s Breakfast is a progressive, growing, and thriving ministry open to whomsoever wants to come. The younger and older men, edify, encourage and build each other up.

We meet the 3rd Saturday of each month, at 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M.

Each month there’s teaching and training to help develop both the spiritual, and social skills of our attendees. We’ve seen phenomenal growth continually, and anticipate more.

We do also have a incredible breakfast and fellowship time also, the word says; (Prov.27:17;)  Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Building Strong Marriages

We believe in the institution of marriage and understand the tests and trials every marriage faces. Building Strong Marriages is not a Marriage Fellowship, although we do fellowship. But this ministry is designed to develop, build your communication skills, develop your trust and understanding, and teach you how to be pliable. We encourage and support marriages through the sharing of God’s love, his wisdom, knowledge and understanding. We work to enhance harmony and mutual respect for husbands and wives by helping them to remove barriers that prevent couples from better understanding one another. It’s through the word of God that all these things are possible.

We meet monthly, every 3rd Friday, via Zoom. Do call the Church office if interested, and they will send you the link; 651-290-2348

Children’s Ministry

Elder Johnnie Mae Barber, Director
A fun and loving environment for children ages 3 to 12yrs old. held every 2nd and 4th Sunday during regular service times.

At 739 Summit Ave.

Exceptional and Enriching: Our Junior Church is set apart because of its uniqueness; children are not just taught the word of God but are rooted and grounded in strong biblical principles that can be demonstrated in their everyday lives.

Monthly theme: Use curriculum that is engaging, age and developmentally appropriate.

Whole Group and small Group Lessons: Class begins with prayer, songs, worship, dance, games, and a whole group lesson. Next, the children are transitioned into smaller groups where they review the lesson; work on lesson based activities, arts and crafts that are connected to the lesson.

Prison Ministry

Our Prison Ministry strives to reach the unreachable and teach those people who are said to be unteachable by demonstrating the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. This is done through the lives of men and women whom come from similar backgrounds such as prison, substance abuse, mental and physical abuse, and addictions of all kinds.

The Bible says; (Ro.3:23;) For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. It’s not something we “Have to Do,” it’s something we “Get to Do”! God is using these individuals to lead inmates to Jesus Christ, to build disciples by teaching them the world of God. To help restore them male and female, to their families, relationships and communities, so that they may become the positive productive citizens they’re capable of being.

Our prison ministry is very productive – we’ve seen lives changed miraculously!

Men: ROLCC & WOLOM, Men’s Ministry has a Bible Study every 4th Monday of the month at Lino Lakes Correctional Facility. The men have been having Bible Study at Lino Lakes for over 25 years. Up to the pandemic we were having ministry 3 weeks out of the month, and we pray we’ll be able to once again have more opportunity.

Women: ROLCC & WOLOM, Women’s Ministry has Sunday Services, every week at the Women’s Prison in Shakopee Minnesota. Our purpose scripture is Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD. The women’s prison ministry was one of the first outreach ministries of ROLCC & WOLOM we have been going for well over 30 years. The ministry has seen many of the women and men accept or rededicate their lives to Christ. We aid in finding them church homes and offer mentors for those who decide to attend the River of Life Christian Church

These ministries are under the leadership of, Bishop Earl & Pastor Pamela Gilchrist

“One Church With Multiple Outreaches.”

Dance Ministry

The goal of our dance ministry is to praise God, declare His glory through dance and to set an atmosphere of worship that He will inhabit. (Ps 22:3) But thou art Holy, Oh thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Ps 150:4 says praise him with the timbrel and dance … Ps 149:3, let them praise His name in the dance, let them sing praise unto Him with timbrel and harp. Verse 4 says that the Lord takes pleasure in his people.

Our dance ministry is Precious Gems of Revelation, we know there are many expressions of worship, we encourage our ministers of dance to worship their Heavenly Father from their heart whether in the dance form of classical, modern, mime, hip-hop etc.

Audio Visual Ministry

The purpose of the A.V. Ministry Team is to provide the church with technical audio and video oversight during the course of Sunday services, weddings, funerals, and other church activities. The sound portion of the Team’s job is to oversee the sound board and mixers for all microphones, speakers, and other audio functions including live recordings.

The visual media portion of our ministry can vary with the size and length of the particular Church Event. Often this includes managing live streaming and standard videos, and multimedia presentations provided by our Bishop or guest speaker.

One of the more critical portions of the A/V Ministry Team’s function occurs during the church’s time of worship. During this time the team is responsible for all of the microphone and instrument channels, and making sure the music is mixed properly, often while overseeing the use of PowerPoint for song lyrics. This is also the case when our Bishop or guest speaker has the need for PowerPoint presentations, video illustrations, and microphone level control during the message.

Also, none of this is possible without working together as a team or single unit that flows and adapts to situations, cohesion and execution are some of our main focuses.
